This page explains how pdftoflip protects your PDFs and accounts while you create flipbooks on pdftoflip.com.

How we treat your documents

  • Purpose-only processing. We process the PDF, EPUB, or images you upload (or a public-domain book you open from the catalog) only to build a flipbook, extract text, and — if you choose — translate it into other languages.
  • No sale of files. We do not sell your documents or their contents to third parties.
  • No public model training. We do not use your uploaded PDFs to train public AI models.
  • Limited human access. Staff do not open your files except to fix a failure you reported or to meet a legal duty.

Transport and storage

  • HTTPS. Uploads, viewing, and account pages use encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • Processing servers. Conversion and translation run on servers we operate or control. Working copies exist only as long as needed to produce the flipbook and language versions.
  • Retention. Guest and free flipbooks expire after a limited number of days (shown when you create them). Premium books are kept longer. Catalog books we publish ourselves stay available as part of the library. You can delete a book you own from your dashboard.
  • Account data. Your email and password hash stay until you close the account or we delete it at your request.

Accounts and payments

  • Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, not as plain text.
  • Premium payments are handled by Stripe. pdftoflip does not store full card numbers.
  • Guests can create flipbooks within daily and per-file limits. We may record a technical identifier (such as IP) to enforce those limits.

Product security practices

  • Access to production systems is limited to people who need it to run the service.
  • We keep software and servers updated and watch for abuse (flooded uploads, stolen accounts, malware-like files).
  • We may refuse or delete jobs that look harmful to the platform or to other users.

What we do not claim

pdftoflip is an online flipbook service. We work to keep files private and the site available, but no internet service can promise perfect security. Keep your own backups of important PDFs.
