This Privacy Policy explains what pdftoflip (“we”, “us”) collects on pdftoflip.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers flipbook creation, the free catalog, optional translations, accounts, and Premium.

You can print this page from your browser. Also see Security, Terms & conditions, and Cookies.

1. Who we are

pdftoflip turns PDFs into 3D flipbooks you can read and share, and can prepare extra language versions of a book. For questions, email support@pdftoflip.com.

When you upload a PDF, EPUB, or images, you decide what is in them. We process those files only to create the flipbook and any translations you use. If the files contain other people’s data, you must have the right to upload them.

2. Data we process

Account and billing

  • Email address, password hash, and account status if you register.
  • Premium subscription status and Stripe payment references (not full card numbers).
  • Support tickets and messages you send us.

Files you upload

  • The file you upload (PDF, EPUB, or images), page count, file size, extracted text used for the reader and for translation, and generated language PDFs.
  • We read file contents only as needed to build the flipbook and translations. We do not sell document contents and we do not use your uploads to train public AI models.

Catalog and viewing

  • If you open a public catalog book, we may count views so popular titles can be listed first.
  • Public-domain catalog files are published by us, not uploaded from your account.

Usage and technical data

  • Pages processed, time of the job, and whether you were a guest or a member.
  • IP address, browser type, language preference, and basic device information.
  • Security checks such as Cloudflare Turnstile when that feature is enabled.

3. Why we process it

  • To provide the service — create flipbooks, show the reader, queue translations.
  • To enforce fair use — daily page caps, file-size limits, and abuse prevention.
  • To take payment — create and manage Premium through Stripe.
  • To support you — answer tickets and fix failed jobs.
  • To keep the site safe — detect fraud, spam, and attacks.
  • To meet the law — tax, accounting, or a valid legal request.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Infrastructure and processing providers that host the site or run conversion and translation, under our instructions.
  • Stripe for Premium payments.
  • Cloudflare (or similar) if Turnstile or CDN protection is on.
  • Authorities when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep data

  • Your flipbooks — until they expire under your plan, or you delete them, or we remove them after a report of abuse.
  • Translation files — kept with the flipbook they belong to.
  • Account records — while the account is open, then as long as we must keep them for legal or billing reasons.
  • Server logs — a limited time for security and debugging.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your account data, or to object to certain processing. Email support@pdftoflip.com from the address on your account.

You can log out to end a session. Guest flipbooks are tied to a short-lived link, not always to an email.

7. Children

pdftoflip is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the product or the law changes. The “last updated” date below will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new policy for future use.
