"Grimm's Fairy Stories" by Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm is a collection of fairy tales first published in 1812. This German collection began with 86 stories and eventually expanded to over 200 tales by its seventh edition. The brothers gathered these stories from oral traditions and old books to preserve German folklore and history. Initially criticized as unsuitable for children despite its title, the collection underwent many revisions across editions.
